Lake Murray Chevron, 5600 Baltimore Drive, La Mesa, is open for propane until 10:00 PM seven days a week, Sunday included. Most propane counters in East County close at 7:00 PM, and at 5:00 PM on Sunday.
Propane tends to run out at the worst moment. Halfway through cooking on a Saturday night. Sunday evening before a camping trip. The heater dies on the coldest night of the year. Those are exactly the hours when the usual places are closed.

We are. Sunday hours here are the same as every other day, 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and to 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Sunday evening is the hardest time to find propane in East County because most refill counters close at 5:00 PM.
Do I need to call ahead?
